I don't believe i watched this., 26 December 2007

Today i watched this movie with two of my friends. It was an awful experience. I felt very sorry for Turkish cinema industry. Mahsun Kirmizigul said they spent 3 million dollars for this movie.
Movie was full of problems. Firstly, characters were one dimensioned. You cannot feel related to them. They do not seem like real life characters. Just a bunch of old folks who memorized their parts. Secondly dialogs were awful and meaningless. Director tried to give messages as if the person who is going to watch is an idiot. Thirdly, and most importantly movie has no pilot. No story is told. Because of this it looks like a compilation of sketches. Total waste of time.

Didactic propaganda... pure propaganda, 30 December 2007
Author: antisarikanarya from Edirne/TURKEY
This is not a cinema movie and Mahsun Kirmizigül isn't a director. I'm saying this for non-Turkish users. Mahsun Kirmizigul is a very famous singer in Turkey. He wants to make propaganda with this movie, because he's from the east region of Turkey. He praises in this feature the eastern people and shows the western people as degenerated. This one is not a movie. This one is pure propaganda. If you want to see a Turkish movie, don't watch this one. The dialogs are too easy. And the movie is cheesy, as a TV show can be. The success of the movie is because of the stars in it. Save your money and don't watch it. Mahsun thinks he is the Fellini of Turkish cinema. He thinks that he can direct well. But he can't. Don't watch it. Believe me!

disappointing and cliché, 25 February 2008
Author: hanim_k from Australia
I went to see this with great expectations and excitement but came away utterly disappointed. The 'east of Turkey has more moral fibre than the west' message was so obvious it was laughable. It was really really bad. The scenes with the ill treatment of the nursing home residents was pure cheese. And as for the endorsement by the Hospital Director of the brother who nearly killed the Orderly, how appalling. How implausible is the idea that she was not fired but sent back to work! The nursing home depicted looked like a cross between a mental institution, a prison and a transit lounge. Who has ever heard of parents being 'left at the door' of these places?? How absurd. And what could only be even more absurd? The nursing home takes them in without so much as a phone call or conversation as to why they are there! Do not waste your time by going to see this movie!
